Where do you find Him? Really? Where is the craziest place you’ve experienced him?
And why?
Maybe you’re not a total believer but you know without a shadow of a doubt, you felt Him once.
Where is that place?
Was it on the subway when someone threw up on you? Or when you broke your leg? Or maybe when you rode your bike into a swimming pool? I have no clue, but share with me your story please.
For me, the craziest place I found Jesus Christ, was in my own writing a long time ago. I was reading back through what I used to write and found that even though I wasn’t talking to God or about him, I sensed an underlying need and want for Him. Like I was seeking Him through my words.
What about you?

One of the craziest places I have experienced God was in a jack in the box in down town phoenix. I had just locked my keys in my work truck and had no possible way of getting them out. I basically cried out to God for help and I turned around and saw someone from my church who just happened to walk into the jack in the box the exact time I finished praying. To make a long story short he had all the tools needed in his truck and we got my vehicle open.
Wow. That is an awesome story. Really.
Terminal 3 at Sky Harbor International Airport.
My buddy Dylan and I were on our way to Washington DC this past spring break. As we walked up to the security line, we realized we had no chance of making our flight. The line was just too long and we had not allowed ourselves enough time. Half-heartedly, I tossed up a prayer out loud saying, “God, we have invested a lot of time, money and energy into this trip and if there is any way you can redeem it, we could use your help right about now.”
Seconds later, I recognize a face. I know this man from my church! I have got to say hello! I realize he is working the crowd, answering questions and directing people. Calmly, he takes my boarding pass, reads the time, realizes my plight and takes me and my buddy straight through security. We made our plane with only minutes to spare.
If I may mention a second place, it was on that very trip. I didn’t expect to find God anywhere in the capitol of our increasingly secularized Nation. I was taken back when I found God while standing in the Lincoln Memorial reading President Lincoln’s Second Inaugural Address. I realized Abraham Lincoln had an understanding of our creator and the mercy and grace he has given to us. Amazing! It was pretty cool to sense his presence while standing in front of this giant Marble wall with the president’s speech engraved across it.
Jacob, that story is very moving. I was captivated.
Sensing God’s presence is the most humbling feeling I can think of. When I feel it, I feel small, not pointless, but loved.
It’s Not Really A Crazy Place, But A Great Place….
On My Wedding Day I Felt God More Than I EVER Have Felt Him Before. I Felt His Blessing Poured Out On Me And My Soon-To- Be-Husband, My Loren. I Knew Without A Shadow Of A Doubt That Was EXACTLY Where I Was Supposed To Be. It Was God’s Plan. It Was The Most Beautiful Day Of My Life.
I Love You Lorenie. Forever And Always I Am Yours.
Your Wife,
